Phil's Technology Tools for Teachers

My name is Phillip Fite

and I like helping my teachers use technology in their classrooms.

I am a computer technician at David Lipscomb Campus School. I also help the teachers learn technology.

I am a student in Boise States Educational Technology Graduate program. This year, I will be getting my Graduate Certificate in Technology Integration and then I will continue on with my Masters in Educational Technology.

By finding better ways to incorporate technology into the classroom, I will be helping teachers do their jobs better and more efficiently. I will accomplish this by becoming a student of current and innovative technologies, education strategies, learning styles, and teaching advances.

I will be a teacher to the teachers. I will be patient and thorough in my instruction of new technologies, new software, and new teaching techniques so that the teacher will be at ease with new technologies and the changes that go with them.

I will ensure that whatever technology changes made will support the school's mission, its curriculum and instruction plan.

I will help the different departments find specific technology tools that are unique to their disciplines.

I will be involved in the classrooms of teachers using technology to help evaluate its effectiveness with the students and I will work to find solutions to problems that arise.
